Art lovers, storytellers, and seekers of Appalachian culture are invited to experience our newest gallery exhibition “Seasons of the Ridge”. This exhibition encourages visitors to pause, reflect, and connect with the cycle of the seasons. Each work tells a story of change, endurance, and renewal, capturing how the landscape leaves its mark on those who call these mountains home.
This exhibition is a sensory journey through the changing moods of the Appalachian year such as the soft blooms and gentle mists of spring, the rich greens of summer, the vibrant colors of autumn, and the quiet stillness of winter. Sweeping landscapes, intricate botanical studies, and vivid works inspired by the natural world reflect the wonder found in Appalachia’s natural transformations.
Our exhibitions showcase a diverse range of artistic mediums and perspectives, highlighting the creativity and rich culture that define the Mountain State. Visitors will have the chance to engage with works that capture the beauty, traditions, and spirit of Appalachia while supporting local artists whose voices continue to shape West Virginia’s vibrant arts community.
All are invited to celebrate the opening of “Seasons of the Ridge” on Saturday, August 1 at 1 p.m. in the David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery at Tamarack Marketplace. This opening reception will feature complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore an extraordinary collection of artwork created by talented West Virginia artists and mingle with our artists.
This exhibition will be displayed from August 1st – September 27th.
