A beloved West Virginia favorite, Ellen’s has been serving up sweet treats in downtown Charleston since September 1997. For nearly three decades, the shop has become known for its handcrafted ice cream, welcoming atmosphere, and dedication to making every treat with love and care.
In April 2022, founder Ellen passed the scoop to a new team dedicated to carrying on her legacy. Husband-and-wife duo Aaron and Marie Clark, alongside award-winning Chef Paul Smith, stepped in with a shared passion for artisanal ice cream and a commitment to preserving everything that makes Ellen’s so special!
