Professional Development Opportunities
The purpose of Tamarack Foundation programs is to encourage West Virginia artisans, to reach their full artistic and business potential by providing resources for training and education in order to advance their careers.
Professional Development Grants
Through these grants and mini-grants, Tamarack artisans are given the opportunity to identify training opportunities they would like to explore and that may be beneficial to their businesses. The purpose of mini-grants and/or grants is to pay for or offset costs of attendance at workshops, seminars, and classes, etc. For more information about Professional Development Grants, and an application. Artisan Relief Grants
The Tamarack Foundation Artisan Relief Program (TARP) offers grants to Tamarack artisans who have been directly affected by significant disasters such as destructive floods, fires, etc., and maintenance grants for necessities such as emergency medical, food, and housing needs. Additionally, under certain circumstances, temporary bridge loans may also be approved by the Tamarack Foundation Board of Directors. Priority for grants will be given to those most severely affected by career threatening events. Please click here for the application.
Craft Emergency Relief Fund is committed to supporting the careers of craft artists throughout the United States. Through business and career-strengthening programs, emergency relief support, advocacy and research CERF helps professional craft artists strengthen and sustain their careers so that they can thrive and, thus, contribute to the quality of life in our communities. CERF is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization and is the only one of its kind in the United States.
