June 17th, Everett Lilly and the Lilly Mountaineers
will be performing once again at Tamarack’s Hulett C. Smith Theater –
kicking off the release of their highly anticipated new album: Black
Gold. The 7pm performance will include tracks from the new album and
possibly some old favorites from West Virginia’s favorite bluegrass
group: the Lilly Mountaineers. Tamarack is thrilled to have the Lilly
Mountaineers help start the West Virginia Day weekend festivities!
The Lilly Mountaineers is fronted by Everett Lilly, a bluegrass icon who
is the winner of the 2009 Vandalia Award and is also a West Virginia
Music Hall of Fame inductee. Everett’s illustrious musical career spans
more than seventy years of performing at home and abroad. Everett is
joined on stage by his two sons, Daniel and Mark. Additional band
members include: state banjo champion Rad Lewis, state fiddle champion
Linda Workman, John Hamrick, Matt Withrow, Ron Moran and Beth Sparks.
The Black Gold release concert begins at 7pm on Friday, June 17th; the
doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $5 per person, call 1-88-TAMARACK to
