The Passing of Pearl
March 9th & 10th
written by Vain Colby
performed by 4Pals Productions
“The Passing of Pearl” takes place in Memphis, TN during the 1980’s. It is historic fiction in that the play takes place in a diner next to the Lorraine Motel, where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. There are 4 female characters—Pearl is a “spirit” who watches the action, reacts, but never speaks! The message of this play deals with secrets, forgiveness, the Civil Rights Movement, and friendships.
