The Chesapeake & Ohio Railway in West Virginia: Photos 1940 - 1960
This book consists of over 130 black and white and 25 color photos depicting C&O operations in the state of West Virginia. The photos, maps and drawings are arranged in geographical order from east-to-west and cover operations on the C&O from World War II up to the early 1960’s. Much of C&O’s wealth came from hauling West Virginia coal. C&O's operations honeycombed the southern West Virginia coalfields with scores of branch lines. Written by Thomas W. Dixon, Jr. 80 pages.
