Picturing West Virginia: A Century of Collecting by the West Virginia State Archives 1905 - 2005
Since its creation in 1905, the West Virginia State Archives has collected and preserved publications, records, photographs and other materials that document the history of the Mountain State. The photographic collection is the state's visual documentation of its proud history - its towns and communities, government and citizens, transportation and communication, industry and manufacturing, society and culture - past and present.
