Sam Rizzetta is a hammer dulcimer player, builder, and designer. As a performer he is best known for his hammer dulcimer playing, but his recordings often feature the Appalachian dulcimer as well. Dulcimer Boogie is a wonderful compilation of original compositions for the hammer dulcimer. It includes Dulcimer Boogie; Emil’s Rag (The New Kitten Rag); Maddie’s Garden; Esther’s Rambles; Rusty Dusty (The Sneaky Cat); Blackie’s Rag; Sleepy Creek Waltz; Wake Up Rag; Boiler House Blues; Laverne’s Pie; Woody’s Waltz; Floodwater Creek; and Ragtime Robin. He is accompanied by Tabby Finch (piano), Linda Hickman (flute), Sharon Hall (fiddle), and Michael DeLalla (guitar).
