A Smile at the Door by Mountain Thyme

Mountain Thyme is an all-women musical ensemble in West Virginia. The group performs folk songs and tunes in a musical style that is often described as Appalachian Celtic. They offer multilayered harmony vocals, acoustic melodies, and music that evokes a spirit of tradition and place.  Songs on this cd include: Bold Riley; Maid in the Garrett; Far Away; William Taylor; My Johnny was a Shoemaker / Skimming the Surface; Come by the Hills; The Mountain / Connaughtman's Ramble; The Bergen; The Road to Lisdoonvarna / Loch Laven Castle ; Tripping Up the Stairs; Green Grow the Rushes O; Broom of the Cowdenknowes; The Miller of Drohan; North Amerkay; Gile Mear / Planxty George Brabazon / Castle Kelly; The Night is Young; and Caledonia.
